Korea Drosophila Resource Center (KDRC) started its service with the opening ceremony on December 21, 2017. Established in Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST), KDRC manages and distributes the fly stocks (transgenic and mutant Drosophila) donated by domestic Drosophila researchers.
KDRC provides support for the production of transgenic Drosophila research by providing Drosophila embryo micro-injection services. This work was supported by Bio & Medical Technology Development Program of the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) funded by the Ministry of Science and ICT.
